Explore & More to Host Unique Events for All Ages, from Cultural Connections to Grown-Up Fun

(WNY News Nows) This fall, Buffalo’s Explore & More museum is prepared to celebrate the various local cultures, provide free family entertainment, and give holiday celebrations a sophisticated spin.

Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield’s Cultural Connections Day will showcase regional cultural institutions on Sunday.

Examine & More For the inaugural Cultural Connections Day, the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Children’s Museum and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield urge the community to join them at Explore & More on Sunday, November 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors can interact with vibrant local arts and cultural organizations and get a firsthand look at their intriguing offerings during this exciting event.

A lineup of neighborhood merchants dedicated to assisting Western New York as active participants in the Arts Access program will greet guests. The programs and resources that each organization will provide for kids and families throughout the winter of 2024–2025 will be highlighted.

Eligible visitors will have the opportunity to sign up for an Arts Accesspass and learn about the various opportunities to interact with nearby cultural institutions and the arts at Cultural Connections Day. They will be able to receive same-day acceptance and certification for Arts Access passes, allowing residents to register, get certified, and start using their pass immediately a process that typically requires several days.

By linking people to free and inexpensive cultural events in their neighborhoods, Arts Access provides all Western New Yorkers with access to the arts and culture.

By offering free or discounted tickets through the Arts Access Pass, more than 50 local theaters, galleries, and other cultural and artistic organizations that are part of Arts Access give low-income people and their families in Erie and Niagara Counties the opportunity to see, experience, and take part in live performances and events.

M&T Bank Fifth Fridays provides free admission to Explore & More on November 29

OnFriday, November 29,M&T Bankand Explore & More are teaming up to host the nextM&T Bank Fifth Friday, a recently launched program that provides free admission to local families.

Due to overwhelming support from the community, registration for free admissionis now closed.Walk-in admission from 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. that day isnot guaranteed.

Explore & More will have special general admission hours on November 29: 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Santa Claus will also be making a special visit to Explore & More from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The M&T Bank Fifth Fridays program at Explore & More builds on M&T s longstanding Free Friday partnerships with regional cultural destinations, such as the Buffalo AKG Art Museum, Burchfield Penney Art Center, Buffalo History Museum, and Buffalo Arts Studio.

Join us onFriday, December 6 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.where guests 21 and up will have access to the museum, and enjoy complimentary beer & wine from Resurgence, bountiful bites from Fat Bob s, and live music from XOXO Pop Band!

There will be Christmas Carol-oke, fun holiday activities like graham cracker house building and LED light-up card making, a special appearance by a green grouch & more!

Tickets are $40/individual and $70/couple. A limited number of tickets are on sale now atexploreandmore.org.
