(WNY News Now) The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Falconer man with several offenses after a single-car collision on Quaint Road revealed that he was operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Poland, New York. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office was called to a single-vehicle collision on Quaint Road in the Town of Poland on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at around 8:50 p.m. The driver was identified by deputies as James D. McGrath, a resident of Falconer, New York, who is 54 years old.
At the scene, an investigation revealed that McGrath was driving under the influence. He was also accused by the authorities of failing to stop at a stop sign and driving at an unreasonably fast speed.
After the accident, EMS took McGrath to UPMC Jamestown for assessment. He is expected to respond to the accusations when he appears in Poland Town Court later. The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
