Falconer Woman Charged with Multiple Felonies After Armed Robbery in Jamestown

(WNY News Now) A resident of Falconer was arrested after a reported altercation on Jamestown’s North Side. The person was charged with violent home invasion and assault.

Jamestown, New York. Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Second Platoon responded to an incident on the city’s North Side at around 6:00 p.m. on the evening of December 13, 2024. Reports of an altercation at a residential house prompted the call.

Officers arrived at the site and arrested 45-year-old Falconer resident Jessica Diaz-Hernandez when she was observed leaving the property in question. After more research, it was discovered that Diaz-Hernandez had broken into a house that was occupied and started taking the victim’s possessions.

Diaz-Hernandez allegedly charged at the victim with a knife after being accosted by the resident, causing minor injuries. Her numerous warrants from other agencies were also found by the officers.

After being taken to the Jamestown City Jail, Diaz-Hernandez is being detained until her arraignment in Jamestown City Court. She is charged with a number of felonies and misdemeanors, including:


  • Burglary in the First Degree



  • Robbery in the First Degree

  • Assault in the Second Degree



  • Menacing in the Second Degree

  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree

  • Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree


The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
