Family Vacation Turns Tragic: U.S. Man Vanishes After Dinner, Later Found Dead in Bahamas

A 23-year-old American man from Maryland was found dead on a beach in the Bahamas just hours after arriving on vacation with his parents. His family now suspects foul play.

Dinari McAlmont had only been on Paradise Island in Nassau for about 12 hours when authorities discovered his body on April 6.

According to his mother, Michelle McAlmont, the family had just checked into The Reef at Atlantis resort. Dinari reportedly left dinner to grab a jacket and never returned.

When his parents were unable to reach him and saw no movement on his phone location, they reported him missing.

The next morning, Dinari’s body was discovered on a nearby beach.

His mother later told Eyewitness News Bahamas that identifying her son’s body was a traumatic experience, claiming he appeared to have been beaten.

FOX 5 D.C. reported that the family is questioning the circumstances of his death and believes it to be suspicious.
