Four Arrested in Mayville Drug Bust Following Traffic Stop of Driver with 25 License Suspensions

(WNY News Now) – A routine traffic stop in Mayville revealed multiple criminal charges, including drug possession and aggravated unlicensed operation, for four Westfield residents on Halloween morning.

Mayville, N.Y. – On October 31, 2024, around 9:40 a.m., a vehicle operated by 26-year-old Andrew Harris was stopped by Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies on Academy Street in the Village of Mayville. Harris, a Westfield resident, was found to have a New York State driver’s license with 25 suspensions and revocations. The discovery led deputies to conduct a vehicle search, which reportedly uncovered a felony amount of methamphetamine.

As a result, Harris was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the First Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, both felonies.

Harris was not alone; two passengers, Alyssa Winslow, 33, and Richard Conway, 45, also residents of Westfield, were in the vehicle and each faces charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.

In addition, the registered owner of the vehicle, 42-year-old Victoria Harris from Westfield, was charged with Felony Facilitating Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the First Degree for permitting Harris to drive her vehicle.

All four subjects were arraigned in the Town of Chautauqua Court and await further court proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
