Four hurt when plane crashes into cars on South Texas street

Authorities said that a tiny plane crashed into three automobiles after landing on a street in South Texas on Wednesday, injuring four individuals who were transported to hospitals.

A fourth person was transported to another institution for a higher level of care following the collision that occurred in Victoria at around 3 p.m., according to police, while three others had non-life-threatening injuries.

At a news conference Wednesday afternoon, authorities stated that the pilot was being assessed.

The little aircraft touched down in Victoria, a South Texas city approximately 85 miles north of Corpus Christi, on Mockingbird Lane and a feeder road to Zac Lentz Parkway, also known as State Highway Loop 463.

We’re relieved it wasn’t worse than it is now. Eline Moya, the deputy chief of Victoria Police, told reporters, “This is not something we see every day.” However, we are happy that people are being looked out and appear to be in good health.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the plane that crashed was a twin-engine Piper PA-31. It stated that only the pilot was on board.

Near a highway overpass, the plane was seen to be torn in half in photos taken at the scene.

The twin-engine aircraft flew extremely low before touching down on a roadway, according to footage posted on social media. Sometimes troubled planes crash on roads and streets.

According to the FAA, the event is being looked into.
