Fredonia Man Arrested for Third-Degree Rape After Turning Himself In

(WNY News Now) After a months-long investigation into a juvenile assault, Jonathan M. Tresler, 34, of Fredonia, NY, is charged with third-degree rape.

New York’s Fredonia An investigation found that a 34-year-old male had sex with a minor victim, leading to his arrest on accusations of third-degree rape. After the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division conducted an investigation, Jonathan M. Tresler of Fredonia surrendered himself to the Chautauqua County Jail on January 6, 2025.

When the incident was discovered on July 10, 2024, authorities started looking into the claims in great detail. After collecting evidence for months, officials concluded that Tresler was the perpetrator of the attack. Tresler voluntarily turned himself in to the police on January 6 and will appear in Village of Fredonia Court to answer the charges.

The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
