(WNY News Now) – A late-night traffic stop in Arkwright resulted in a DWI arrest after deputies responded to reports of erratic driving.
Arkwright, N.Y. – On November 3, 2024, at approximately 1:16 a.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a vehicle driving erratically in the Town of Arkwright. Patrol officers soon located the vehicle and observed a traffic violation, prompting a stop.
The driver, identified as 26-year-old Reanna L. Tarnowski of Fredonia, NY, exhibited signs of intoxication. Following a brief investigation, deputies arrested Tarnowski for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). Additionally, officers discovered an open container of alcohol in the vehicle, which was seized as evidence.
Tarnowski faces several charges, including Failure to Keep Right, DWI, DWI Per Se (for a blood alcohol content above 0.08%), and Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle. After her arrest, she was processed and later transported to a medical facility for an unrelated health matter.
Tarnowski is scheduled to appear in the Town of Arkwright Court at a future date to address the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
