Gal Gadot reveals she was diagnosed with ‘massive blood clot’ during pregnancy

Actor Gal Godot disclosed that early this year, during her eighth month of pregnancy, she was diagnosed with a huge blood clot in her brain that necessitated emergency surgery.

The 39-year-old Wonder Woman actress disclosed in an open Instagram post on Sunday that she received a diagnosis in February following weeks of bedridden, agonizing headaches.

At last, I had an MRI, which showed the horrifying reality. My family and I were suddenly reminded of how fleeting life can be. She writes, “It was a harsh reminder of how quickly everything can change, and all I wanted was to hold on and live in the middle of a difficult year.”

After arriving at the hospital, she had emergency surgery a few hours later, and her daughter was delivered.

In that time of terror and uncertainty, my daughter Ori was born. ‘My light,’ as her name implies, was not a random choice. “I told Jaron before the surgery that our daughter would be the light at the end of the tunnel for me when she arrived,” she explained.

The mother of four expressed gratitude to the medical staff at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles for their committed treatment.

I survived and started the healing process. She added, “I am completely healed today and grateful for the life I have been given back.”

The celebrity claimed that among the numerous things she learned from her health struggle were to be mindful and pay attention to her body.

First and foremost, we must pay attention to our bodies and believe what they are telling us. Being aware of your body can save your life, she noted, and pain, discomfort, or even small changes frequently have greater meaning.

Second, awareness is important. I was unaware that 3 out of 100,000 pregnant women in their 30s and older are diagnosed with CVT, which is a condition in which a blood clot forms in the brain. She went on to say that early detection is crucial since it is treatable. Even if it is uncommon, it is a possibility, and acknowledging its existence is the first step in taking action. The purpose of sharing this is to empower, not to fear. It will have been worthwhile to share this tale if it inspires even one person to take action for their health.

Gadot and her husband Jaron Varsano have four daughters together.

Although she did not reveal the blood clot at the time, Gadot had announced the birth of her daughter, Ori, in March.

Welcome, my dear girl. At the time, she posted on Instagram, “The pregnancy was not easy and we made it through.” You have lived up to your name, Ori, which means “my light” in Hebrew, by bringing so much brightness into our lives. Gratitude fills our hearts.
