Golden Globes 2025 nominations: Complete list of award nominees

Early Monday marked the official start of Hollywood’s awards season with the announcement of the 82nd Golden Globes film nominees, which included the genre-bending song “Emilia Prez,” the postwar epic “The Brutalist,” and the Vatican-set soap opera “Conclave.”

The Bob Dylan biographical “A Complete Unknown,” the science-fiction extravaganza “Dune: Part Two,” the novel adaptation “Nickel Boys,” and the thriller set in 1972, “September 5,” joined “The Brutalist” and “Conclave” in the best drama picture category.

The family comedy “A Real Pain,” the body-horror satire “The Substance,” the sultry love triangle “Challengers,” the outrageous romance “Anora,” and the blockbuster success “Wicked” will all compete alongside “Emilia Prez” in the contest for best comedy or musical film.

(“Conclave” and “Wicked” were distributed by NBCUniversal, the parent company of NBC News.)

Television accomplishments are also acknowledged by Globes voters. Leading candidates this year include FX’s “The Bear,” a frantic depiction of a Chicago eatery, and “Sh gun,” a sprawling drama set in feudal Japan. Both shows are favored by critics.

Actors Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut revealed the nominees in 27 categories at 8:15 a.m. ET. Stand-up comedian Nikki Glaser will host the awards presentation, which will air live on CBS and the streaming service Paramount+ on January 5.

The Carol Burnett Award, which celebrates someone who has made exceptional achievements to television on or off screen, will be given to Ted Danson, a small-screen mainstay, at this year’s Globes in addition to the customary parade of trophies and speeches.

The Cecil B. DeMille Award will also be given to Oscar-winning actor Viola Davis.
