Good Samaritan finds two baby girls in an Indiana ditch after car was stolen

When a good Samaritan walked outside to pick up a delivery, he discovered two baby girls abandoned in a ditch close to his house in Indiana after the car they were in was stolen.

A silver Hyundai Sonata was taken with a 4-month-old girl and a 5-month-old girl in the backseat, and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department on Monday requested the public’s assistance in finding the vehicle.

About 20 minutes after police posted a social media plea for information, authorities posted an update stating that the car had been found and the children were safe.

According to NBC station WTHR in Indianapolis, the good samaritan had gone outside to pick up a delivery when he noticed two car seats. The infant girls had been abandoned in the cold, in the car seats.

After bringing the infants inside, the guy dialed 911. According to the TV station, police verified that the infants were the missing girls from the car that had been stolen. Near where the kids were left, the automobile was discovered.

WTHR spoke with William Young of the Indianapolis Police Department, who expressed his gratitude to the kind Samaritan.

“It s cold out here, who knows what would have happened if this particular individual hadn t gone outside,” he replied.

No suspect has been apprehended as of yet.
