Sheriff’s Investigation Reveals Alleged Local Organization Theft of $3,000

(WNY News Now) After a thorough investigation, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office has charged Katlin S. Benedetto, 33, of Sinclairville, New York, with Grand Larceny in the Third Degree. Benedetto is charged with stealing more than $3,000 from a local nonprofit between February and August of 2024.

Benedetto voluntarily turned herself in to the police, according to the Criminal Investigation Division of the Sheriff’s Office. She will now appear in the Town of Chautauqua Court to face the charges after being arraigned via the Centralized Arraignment Program.

The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
