Harris to urge young supporters to ‘stay in the fight’ ahead of Trump’s second term

Speaking to young leaders, Vice President Kamala Harris will urge them to “stay in the fight” as President-elect Donald Trump gets ready for his second term.

Speaking to students and other young community leaders in Prince George’s County, Maryland, Harris will reveal that she has received tens of thousands of letters in recent weeks from individuals all around the nation expressing their opinions on the election.

“There is a common theme among these letters. According to White House transcripts, she intends to state that while there is disappointment, there is also resolve for the future.

The event is being attended by a number of Maryland Democrats, including Sen.-elect Angela Alsobrooks, Lt. Gov. Aruna Miller, and Gov. Wes Moore.

After the election, “many people have come up to me, telling me they feel tired, maybe even resigned, that they re not sure whether they have the strength, much less the desire, to stay in the fight,” Harris intends to convey.

When she says, “We must stay in the fight,”… “Every one of us,”

Harris will urge everyone to take a break for the holidays and return “ready to march into the future” to continue fighting for freedom and opportunity.

Since losing the general election to Trump in November, the vice president has mostly stayed out of the spotlight.

Trump gained support from people under 30, especially young men, while Harris did better overall among young voters.
