Israeli military destroys buildings in the West Bank

Since removing part of its forces during the ongoing ceasefire in Gaza, Israel has turned to the region, destroying over a dozen buildings in Jenin, a city in the occupied West Bank.

Reuters was able to obtain footage of a series of explosions that tore through the city and sent smoke plumes upward.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced in a statement on Sunday that it had destroyed a number of structures in Jenin that were being utilized as terrorist infrastructure.

There is currently no information on the number of casualties, if any.

According to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel initiated an attack in Jenin last month in an effort to defeat terrorists.

In less than two years, the Israeli army has made three significant incursions into the city, which has long been a bastion of extremist organizations like Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

According to the Palestinian health ministry, Israeli airstrikes on Jenin on Sunday killed five Palestinians, including a 16-year-old teenager.

The IDF said that an Israeli aircraft had broken the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas in Gaza by firing on a vehicle that it claimed was traveling outside the approved inspection path.

According to the statement, the IDF is ready for everything and will keep taking whatever necessary steps to stop any dangers to its soldiers that arise right now.

Netanyahu’s departure for the United States on Sunday, where he is scheduled to meet with President Donald Trump, coincided with both attacks.

As the second round of discussions was set to start Monday, Netanyahu, the first foreign leader to visit Trump since his January inauguration, departed Israel.

The RIA official news agency said on Sunday that Mousa Abu Marzouk, the deputy leader of Hamas, will lead a delegation to visit Moscow, the capital of Russia, on Monday.

Israel, Iran, Lebanon, and the Palestinian Authority are just a few of the Middle Eastern nations and organizations with whom Russia has long maintained connections.
