(WNY News Now) Following a violent domestic altercation on the south side of the city, a 37-year-old Jamestown resident is facing numerous counts, including reportedly beating a female victim until she was unable to open her eyes.
Officers from the Jamestown Police Department were called to a domestic dispute at a home on the south side of the city at around 8:03 AM on January 7, 2025. Officers found that 37-year-old Tony J. Stebbins had left the area after allegedly assaulting two people.
Investigators claim that Stebbins repeatedly punched a female victim in the face with a closed fist, causing her eyes to swell so much that she was unable to open them. Additionally, he is charged with assaulting a man victim who was at the house.
Stebbins was promptly found by officers nearby and taken into custody. After being taken to Jamestown City Jail, he was accused of third-degree assault, second-degree menacing, and second-degree harassment.
Stebbins is being detained until Jamestown City Court, where he will be arraigned. The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
