Jamestown Man Sentenced to 13 Years in Federal Prison for Drug Conspiracy

Buffalo, New York (WNY News Now).Due to his involvement in a massive drug scheme, a Jamestown man will serve more than ten years in federal prison.

U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross said that 55-year-old Roberto Morales Sanchez was found guilty of conspiracy to distribute 400 grams of fentanyl and more than one kilogram of heroin and was given a sentence of 156 months in prison. The punishment was imposed by U.S. District Judge John L. Sinatra, Jr.

According to the prosecution, Sanchez supplied co-conspirators Ryan Bloom and Rachelle Allison with drugs for distribution by purchasing and reselling heroin and fentanyl for financial gain. Bloom and Allison ran a needle sharing program and a drug trafficking business out of their home on Fairview Avenue. Sanchez kept a handgun for protection and engaged in drug-related enterprises out of his home on Willis Street.

Sanchez approached someone at his house on February 26, 2021, and accused them of stealing 20 grams of heroin. He positioned his revolver in front of the man, who escaped. Jamestown Police quickly carried out search warrants at Sanchez’s home and car, obtaining a loaded handgun, ammo, and about $24,520 in cash.

Allison is awaiting sentencing, and Bloom was previously given a 20-year prison term.

As part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation, the Drug Enforcement Administration, Jamestown Police Department, and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office spearheaded the investigation.
