Jamestown Residents Charged After Domestic Dispute Uncovers Unsafe Living Conditions

(WNY News Now) A domestic altercation on the city s south side led to the arrest of two individuals, exposing deplorable living conditions that endangered a child s welfare.

Jamestown, N.Y. On the evening of November 17, 2024, at approximately 8:23 p.m., Jamestown police officers responded to a domestic dispute at a residence on the city s south side. Upon investigation, officers determined that 28-year-old Zachary A. Graves had engaged in a physical altercation with 37-year-old Nicole Parsons in the presence of a juvenile.

Graves fled the scene before officers arrived but was located nearby, hiding behind a brick wall and attempting to conceal himself in leaves and brush. Officers apprehended Graves and transported him to the city jail.

The investigation revealed unsafe living conditions in the home, deemed unsuitable for a child. Both Graves and Parsons were arrested and charged with three counts ofEndangering the Welfare of a Childdue to these conditions. Graves faces an additional charge ofObstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree.

The juvenile was placed in the care of their father, who arrived at the scene. Both suspects remain in custody, pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
