Jamestown Traffic Stop Leads to Arrests for Illegal Firearm Possession and Cannabis Consumption

(WNY News Now) – A routine traffic stop in Jamestown escalated to multiple arrests after officers discovered a loaded firearm and evidence of cannabis consumption inside the vehicle.

Jamestown, N.Y. – On the evening of November 9, 2024, at approximately 7:56 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd Platoon, with support from a K-9 unit, conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of East 5th Street and Pine Street in Jamestown. The stop resulted in the arrest of three Jamestown residents: Oshon M. Goodlow, 20; Emmanuel N. Davis, 24; and Keiera R.L. Corbin, 18, all facing multiple firearm and drug-related charges.

During the stop, officers noted signs of cannabis consumption within the vehicle. Upon further investigation, they uncovered a loaded semi-automatic pistol equipped with a large-capacity magazine. None of the occupants possessed a valid pistol permit, rendering the firearm’s possession illegal under state law.

The three individuals were subsequently detained and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. Each was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd and 3rd Degrees. Additionally, Goodlow was cited for the offense of cannabis consumption in a motor vehicle, a violation in New York State.

All suspects are currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
