Jamestown Traffic Stop Leads to Felony DWI and Drug Charges

(WNY News Now) JAMESTOWN, NY A 25-year-old male was arrested on felony DWI and narcotics possession charges following a routine traffic stop in Jamestown early Sunday morning.

On February 2, 2025, at around 12:02 a.m., officers from the third platoon of the Jamestown Police Department noticed a car driving without headlights close to Foote Avenue and Harrison Street. Isiah T. Fuentes was recognized as the driver when a traffic stop was undertaken.

Fuentes was arrested right away after officers found that he was operating the vehicle while inebriated. He was found to be in possession of methamphetamine after an additional search. Fuentes is facing felony charges for several traffic fines, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, and driving while intoxicated (DWI) according to his past offenses.

After being taken to Jamestown City Jail, Fuentes is being detained until his arraignment in Jamestown City Court. The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
