(WNY News Now) A Jamestown woman was arrested for driving under the influence after a routine traffic stop on North Main Street.
Jamestown, New York. Jamestown Police pulled over a car outside a 7-Eleven store at around 4:10 a.m. on December 7, 2024, close to 518 North Main Street. Third platoon officers spotted a car with several moving infractions, including not using its headlights.
Following more examination, it was discovered that the driver, Crystal L. Cavness, 37, was intoxicated. When Cavness’s blood alcohol content (BAC) surpassed the legal limit of 0.08%, she was arrested and sent to the Jamestown City Jail.
Cavness is currently facing a number of accusations, including open container breaches, driving without headlights, driving while intoxicated (DWI), and DWI Per Se (BAC over 0.08%). She is expected to appear in Jamestown City Court later after being released on an appearance ticket. The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
