Jingle at the Rocks: A Festive Evening for a Good Cause

(WNY News Now) The Dunkirk-Fredonia Rotary Club and the CHQ Professionals Group are preparing for the fourth annual Jingle at the Rocks.

New York’s FREDONIA.The Dunkirk-Fredonia Rotary Club and the CHQ Professionals Group are excited to announce the fourth annual Jingle at the Rocks event, which will take place on Thursday, December 5 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 64 on the Rocks (64 W. Main St., Fredonia, NY).

Raffles, appetizers, an ugly sweater contest, DJ Gould’s music, and networking chances for young professionals and community members will all be part of this joyous holiday event. Everyone must be at least 21 years old. Admission costs $20 without a donation or $10 if you donate a brand-new, unwrapped toy.

The event’s entire revenues will go to the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program, which helps provide holiday cheer to underprivileged kids and families across the neighborhood. In 2023, more than 100 community people came to assist collect more than 150 toys and raise $2,200.

Sponsors of events are still required to help defray expenses. There are sponsorship tiers of $500, $250, and $100. By December 1, 2024, you can become a sponsor by calling (716) 363-3770 or sending an email to Monica Simpson, co-chair of CHQ Professionals, [email protected].

In addition to saying, “All proceeds from this event directly support Toys for Tots,” Simpson added, “this is one of our signature events and we are so grateful to all organizations and businesses that collaborate with us to help make this a success.” We would like to express our gratitude to our kind sponsors who have made it possible for us to make even bigger contributions this year. We are proud of our capacity to make a difference in our community.

Every year, Jingle at the Rocks has expanded, demonstrating the kindness and camaraderie of our community. According to Leslie Wille, CHQ Professionals Group Co-Chair and Secretary of the Dunkirk-Fredonia Rotary Club, “It’s always a fun event, but more importantly, it supports children in our community and highlights the power of collaboration between the CHQ Professionals Group and Dunkirk-Fredonia Rotary Club to make a meaningful impact during the holiday season.”

Jingle at the Rocks is more than just a party; it’s an opportunity to unite and truly impact Chautauqua County’s youth. Every effort and every donation are more important than ever as the demand keeps growing. We are contributing to ensuring that every child enjoys the wonder of the holidays by spreading the joy of the season. Lauren Boyle, Toys for Tots Representative, stated, “It means so much to me and our community to support Chautauqua County Toys for Tots through this event.”

An initiative of the Chautauqua County Partnership for Economic Growth, the CHQ Professionals Group (formerly the Northern Chautauqua County Young Professionals Group) aims to give all professionals, regardless of age or location, in Chautauqua County access to networking and community engagement opportunities. In addition, the group actively looks for volunteer opportunities pertaining to workforce and career development, posts local job openings, and produces a monthly newsletter.
