Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, wife Brittany welcome third child

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who won a Super Bowl, and his wife Brittany announced the arrival of their third child on Monday.

Golden Raye Mahomes, who joins a family of five that also includes brother Patrick Bronze Lavon Mahomes III and sister Sterling Skye Mahomes, was featured in photos shared on Instagram by both parents.

In July, the couple declared that they were expecting their third daughter.

In order to take this final weekend off from football to celebrate the arrival of child number three, the quarterback had joked last month that he was focused on getting his club to the AFC’s top seed.

With a 15-2 season finale and the AFC championship, Kansas City provided Mahomes and the Chiefs with a restful weekend without football.

The Chiefs are aiming for their fourth Super Bowl victory in six seasons and their third in a row.

Mahomes still has a ways to go before he can match Tom Brady’s jewelry collection, which includes seven Super Bowl rings.

However, he would join the elite group of four-time quarterback winners, which includes Hall of Fame signal callers Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana, if he were to receive a fourth ring.
