(WNY News Now) A 25-year-old Kiantone man was arrested for allegedly breaking a court-issued protective order following a domestic altercation in a police department parking lot.
Louquavis Q. Dyer, 25, of Kiantone, was arrested by the Town of Ellicott Police Department after a domestic altercation broke out in the parking lot on December 22.
At the time of the event, authorities said Dyer was in breach of a legal stay-away order of protection. Dyer was accused of second-degree criminal contempt by responding cops. Usually, this allegation is brought against someone who is said to have willfully disregarded a court order.
In order to respond to the charge, Dyer was given an appearance ticket and is expected to show up in Town of Ellicott Court later. The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
