According to court documents filed in New York on Thursday, Jonathan Majors’ ex-girlfriend has abandoned a lawsuit against him for allegedly assaulting and defaming him.
According to Grace Jabbari, who claimed Majors attacked her in the back of an SUV, the rising star, who starred in the boxing thriller “Creed III,” was found guilty in December 2023 of two counts of misdemeanor assault. He was spared jail time but was required to complete a year-long treatment program. He denies any misconduct.
Then, in March, British dancer Jabbari filed a civil lawsuit against Majors, alleging defamation for claiming his innocence since the trial and that he had never abused a woman, as well as malicious prosecution, assault, and battery throughout their nearly two-year relationship.
According to the brief filing on Thursday, “all claims against Defendant… are hereby dismissed with prejudice,” and each party will be responsible for covering its own legal expenses.
According to the March lawsuit, Majors has called her a liar at every opportunity and has explicitly stated that he has never touched a woman in an attempt to persuade the public that Grace is a crazy liar who deserves to be treated as such rather than a victim of domestic abuse.
Priya Chaudhry, Major’s lawyer at the time, stated that her client was drafting counterclaims.
Majors portrayed the villain Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel film series, and he was scheduled to return in 2026 for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. However, following his conviction, Marvel severed its relationship with him.
A request for comment from Jabbari’s and Majors’ lawyers was not immediately answered.
The Perseverance Award was presented to Majors at the annual Impact Awards in Hollywood in June. He acknowledged it, saying, “I’m not flawless. I am conscious of my faults.
