(WNY News Now) The Cattaraugus County Superior Criminal Court issued an active warrant that led to the arrest of a 68-year-old man in Machias, New York.
On January 27, 2025, Gene C. Tingue of Machias was arrested, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office. Tingue was captured by deputies at a Route 16 address at around 11:00 a.m. The arrest was related to a probationary warrant violation.
Tingue was taken to the county jail after being processed by authorities without any problems. He is being detained while additional legal action is taken. The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
