(WNY News Now) On November 18, 2024, police carried out a major drug and weapon bust at a Jamestown basement apartment at 21 Hazzard Street.
Jamestown, New York. Around 11:55 a.m., members of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force entered the home in accordance with a search warrant and took two people into custody: Collin A. Slack and Nakeya I. Hardy.
A cache of illicit goods was found during the search, including:
- A Springfield M1 Garand rifle
- A replica pistol
- 20.5 grams of cocaine
- 11.5 grams of fentanyl
- 16 Clonazepam pills
- Suboxone strips
- $313 in cash
- Digital scales
Hardy, who had several open warrants from the Ellicott Police Department and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, and Slack, who is now under the supervision of New York State Parole, were taken into custody right away.
As convicted felons, both suspects are facing a variety of charges, such as:
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree
- Three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree
- Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree
- Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia
The two were sent to the Chautauqua County Jail after their arraignment.
The Ellicott Police Department, Dunkirk Police Department, and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office provided assistance during the operation.
The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
