Sanchez, was taken into custody on Saturday after authorities linked him to a series of events that began earlier in the week. Sanchez now faces charges of sexual assault and indecent exposure, bringing renewed attention to campus safety concerns.

Initial Incident: Unwanted Approach and Indecent Exposure

The trouble started around 7 a.m. on Thursday when a female student reported a suspicious encounter. She informed campus security that she was followed by a man after disembarking from a bus near the campus. The man reportedly made inappropriate comments about her age, causing the student to feel uncomfortable and afraid for her safety.

Campus security took her concerns seriously and reviewed the surveillance footage. To their shock, the man was allegedly seen masturbating in a common area of the campus. The authorities were alerted, and a report was filed with the Vancouver Police Department. Despite these efforts, Sanchez managed to evade immediate apprehension.

Second Incident: Assault on Staff Member

Later that same day, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the man returned to Clark College. This time, the situation escalated. According to reports, Sanchez allegedly slapped a female staff member on her backside before fleeing the scene. Campus security responded swiftly and located him in a bathroom, but Sanchez pushed past them and left campus grounds before police could arrive.

Police Investigation and Arrest

Following these incidents, Vancouver Police conducted a thorough investigation and worked closely with campus security. On Saturday, they were able to locate and arrest Sanchez, who was booked into the Clark County Jail on charges of sexual assault with a motivation for sexual misconduct, as well as indecent exposure. The case has sparked concern among students, staff, and the local community about safety on campus.
