Man Arrested on Bench Warrant at Buffalo Group Home

(WNY News Now) Buffalo, NY On November 14, 2024, deputies from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office took a 30-year-old Olean man into custody after Cattaraugus County Court issued a bench warrant.

After authorities were informed of his presence, Devon J. Blanchard was placed under arrest at a group home in Buffalo. With the help of campus police, deputies found Blanchard at the establishment and successfully carried out the warrant.

Under the direction of County Judge Ploetz, Blanchard was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail. Bail was not set. He will appear in court later to answer to the allegations under CPL 530.70. The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
