Olean Man Arrested on NYS Parole Warrant, Awaiting Further Proceedings

(WNY News Now) On December 3, 2024, at around 1:45 PM, Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office Sheriff Eric A. Butler said that Scott R. Hammond, 34, of Olean, NY, had been arrested. The arrest happened at the Sheriff’s Office, located at 1 Leo Moss Drive in Olean.

A New York State Parole warrant led to Hammond’s arrest. He was taken to the Cattaraugus County Jail after being arrested, where he is currently being held on remand for more court procedures.

Charges against Hammond are connected to the parole warrant. The Cattaraugus County Court, presided over by Judge Ploetz, will have jurisdiction over the case as no bail was issued. The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
