(WNY News Now) After a routine traffic stop in the city, a 50-year-old Olean man was taken into custody early Thursday morning on an outstanding arrest warrant.
Deputies from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office pulled over a car on Wayne Street close to North 9th Street at around 1:30 in the morning. Deputies found out during the stop that Scott C. Jordan, the driver, had an outstanding arrest warrant from the New York State Police Olean. Jordan was arrested without any problems.
Jordan was taken to the custody of the New York State Police present at the scene after his arrest. After being processed, he was freed with an appearance ticket, which required him to show up in court later for additional legal actions. The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
