With military housing costs skyrocketing, Democratic senators request Pentagon action

Brenden Taylor and his family have relocated multiple times in his 11 years as a Marine. However, it became nearly impossible to locate a reasonably priced place to rent with his military housing allowance when they moved from Okinawa, Japan, to Camp Pendleton in Southern California in 2022. After a 45-minute journey from the base, they finally located something they could afford in Murietta. Many households are struggling with rising rents. According to study from Harvard University's Joint Center for Housing Studies, the median rent in the United States rose by 25% between 2021 and 2023 after accounting for inflation. According to the report, renters' median family incomes increased by just 5% over that time. Families of active-duty military personnel, who get a Defense Department stipen...

Prosecutors claim that their intention was to cause mayhem in the predominantly Black city. Before the preparations were carried out, the two were taken into custody in February 2023. In federal court in Baltimore, the 12-member jury heard testimony for around four days before deliberating for less than an hour. Russell was ...

The ceasefire will begin on Tuesday, according to the M23 rebels. The news was made soon after the U.N. health office reported that at least 900 people had died in fighting between Congolese forces and rebels in Goma last week. How Eagles GM Howie Roseman built Philadelphia into an NFL juggernaut

Promotions aren't always what they seem. At least not in the instance of Howie Roseman, who managed the Philadelphia Eagles' draft and free agency strategy from 2010 to 2014 before having those responsibilities taken away from him and handed over to Chip Kelly, the team's head coach at the time. Roseman oversaw the off-field employees and salaries while Kelly continued to lead the team. However, the team granted Roseman another chance to be general manager after Kelly was sacked five days prior to the 2015 regular season finale. He hasn't turned around. Roseman stated on NBC's ProFootballTalk in 2018 that it was perhaps the nicest thing that had ever happened to him. Did I ever imagine myself returning in a prominent role in Philadelphia? No. I don't believe I did. However, I was adamant ...

Elon Musk and DOGE are hacking the government

Elon Musk has infiltrated the government, according to the jargon of the tech sector. Despite never having been elected to office or confirmed by the Senate for a high-level government position, the billionaire tech magnate has used his position as head of President Donald Trump's Department of Government Efficiency project, or DOGE, to obtain sensitive federal data in a matter of days in order to advance a broad agenda and possibly cause a constitutional crisis. Musk has adopted Silicon Valley's most infamous propensity to act quickly and forcefully in an attempt to gain control of federal agencies' computer networks and organizational structures. Similar to his 2022 corporate takeover of Twitter, he has enlisted a team to evaluate specifics such office building leases, budget line items,...
