Chuck Schumer requests drone detection system for New York, New Jersey as mysterious devices litter the skies

Following a string of enigmatic drones that have disrupted the sky in recent weeks, including causing a temporary shutdown at an airport over the weekend, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., has asked that a drone detection device be brought to New York and New Jersey. Two days after several drone sightings near New York Stewart International Airport forced its closure, Schumer submitted the request to the Department of Homeland Security on Sunday. Because of its "360-degree technology," which has a higher possibility of identifying drones than linear systems, he advocated for Robin Radar Systems. Mr. Penny Pincher: Living With No Regrets

Imagine that the end of your life is imminent. I realize it's morbid, but give me a minute. As you take your final breath, you reflect on your life and everything you have or have not achieved. What will you think of next? Will you be reflecting on your earnings or lack thereof? Will you think about the children you had or didn't have? What about the person who escaped or the love of your life? Fortunately, I've never experienced a near-death experience, so I can't imagine what I might be contemplating. Without a doubt, I can assure you that I will not be thinking about the money I have made or lost. If I were to briefly put myself in that situation, I would probably feel remorse for a life not lived and affection for my family and friends in equal measure. We should concentrate on the fin...

Memecoins like Fartcoin are riding Trump’s victory to huge valuations. Experts say it may have only begun.

It's called Fartcoin, yes. Indeed, it is completely pointless. Indeed, it has tripled in value in the last week, reaching a market valuation of nearly $700 million, roughly matching that of Office Depot, Guess clothing, and Steak N Shake's parent company. Riding a larger wave of bitcoin investment that was sparked by Donald Trump's election, the carnival-casino age of cryptocurrency has returned with a fury. Even the losers seem to be in on the joke, even though it's making millionaires while maybe hurting others. According to Toe Bautista, research analyst for GSR, a decentralized finance firm, the flood of memecoiners consists of both lifelong bitcoin holders and those who are just frantic to turn their fortunes in an era of sky-priced homes and stocks. This Village Voice photographer immortalized decades of gay history

The now-famous sip-in protest was photographed by Fred McDarrah in April 1966 after a bartender at Julius in the Greenwich Village section of New York City refused to serve alcohol to a group of gay men. When gay and transgender individuals rebelled against the police in what would become known as the Stonewall rebellion three years later, he was once more on the front lines. McDarrah returned the next year on June 28, 1970, to record the first homosexual pride march in New York City. As the longstanding Village Voice photographer documented and preserved some of the most significant turning points in LGBTQ history, this pattern would persist for decades. With 60 black-and-white images covering more than 30 years, the current exhibit at the New-York Historical Society, Fred W. McDarrah: Pr...
