Montana lawmaker Zooey Zephyr marries writer Erin Reed in Missoula wedding
In a ceremony held in Missoula on Saturday, Montana Representative Zooey Zephyr, who was the first transgender woman elected to the state legislature, wed writer and activist Erin Reed.
Zephyr said, "What a perfect wedding, my love," on social media on Tuesday. "Every moment of that day will always be engraved in my heart. And the core of all I do will be my commitments, which range from offering you tender love to becoming a good mother to our boy."
Sarah Kate Ellis, president and CEO of GLAAD, an LGBTQ media advocacy group, officiated the wedding, which was set to a string quartet's performance of "Such Great Heights" by The Postal Service.
