Warrant Arrest in Batavia Leads to Court Appearance in Salamanca

(WNY News Now) Batavia, NY A Buffalo man was arrested on a bench warrant issued by the Town of Salamanca Court as a result of a cooperative law enforcement effort.On November 27, 2024, around 9:25 AM, Omar R. Clark, 53, of Buffalo, NY, was arrested. After Clark interacted with an outside agency, he was arrested. After facilitating a custody exchange with the agency, deputies from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office took Clark to court.When Clark appeared before Judge Wrona in Little Valley, the warrant—which was issued for a violation under CPL 530.70—was discussed. (WNY News Now) Investigators have determined that a damaged propane heater exhaust pipe was the cause of a garage fire that occurred in the Town of Sheridan on December 2, 2024.On Monday, December 2, 2024, at around 9:59 p.m., a garage fire was reported in the Town of Sheridan on Meyers Road. Mutual aid helped the Sheridan Fire Department put out the fire in a flash. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries during the incident.Fire officials in Sheridan asked for an origin and cause investigation after the fire. The cause of the incident was identified by the investigation as a defective and neglected propane heater exhaust pipe.
