South Carolina driver gets 25 years for DUI crash that killed bride, injured groom on wedding day
On Monday, a South Carolina woman who was accused of killing the bride and gravely hurting the groom on their wedding day by driving intoxicated into a newlywed couple's golf cart was given a 25-year jail sentence.
In a courtroom in Charleston, a judge handed down the punishment after 27-year-old Jamie Komoroski entered a guilty plea to all charges related to the April 28, 2023, collision that killed 34-year-old Samantha Miller and injured Aric Hutchinson's brain and bones just hours after their marriage.
Komoroski was accused of three charges of felony DUI and reckless homicide.
Komoroski was given a 25-year sentence by Circuit Court Judge Deadra L. Jefferson for felony DUI resulting in death. For her other offenses, she received sentences of 10 and 15 years, but she will serve them concu...
