Florida man charged with murder after golfer beaten with his own clubs
In what officials described as a "random" incident at a Florida golf course, a man was fatally battered with his own golf clubs.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Junior Boucher, 36, of West Palm Beach, is accused of first-degree murder in connection with the death of golfer Brian Hiltebeitel, 65, at the Sandhill Crane Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens on Monday afternoon.
As they wrestled physically in a pond close to the first hole, a witness informed police that the suspect appeared to choke the man and repeatedly struck him over the head with golf clubs.
According to the affidavit, the man was declared dead at the golf course after authorities removed him from the pond and tried to save his life.
