Democrats to elect a new party chair on Feb. 1
In the wake of President-Elect Donald Trump's triumph earlier this month, the Democratic National Committee said Monday that it will elect a new chairman on February 1.
In order to elect new executives, including the chair, Democrats will have four public forums in January for candidates to present their candidacies before the party's Winter Meeting at National Harbor, Maryland, which is located just outside of Washington.
The DNC claims to be seeking feedback from the public and outsiders, yet the only voters are the 448 active members, which include elected officials, party insiders, and leaders of affiliated organizations like unions from all over the nation.
