Gorton, 39, of Jamestown, was accused of shoplifting on Friday morning, November 17, and was charged with petit larceny. The Town of Ellicott Police Department reports that at approximately 11:14 a.m., police responded to a complaint at a nearby store.According to investigators, Gorton took a pair of exercise shoes out of the store without paying for them. She was given an appearance ticket after the incident and is expected to appear in Town of Ellicott Court later to answer to the accusation.
