Search Warrant in Jamestown Yields Stolen Firearms, Methamphetamine, and Arrests

(WNY News Now) Two locals were arrested after a coordinated drug task force operation in Jamestown turned up methamphetamine, high-capacity magazines, and stolen guns.

New York’s Jamestown The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 216 Forest Avenue, Apartment 1 at around 2:30 p.m. on December 16, 2024, which resulted in the recovery of drugs and stolen weapons and the making of important arrests.Dalton, Tyler T.

Tyler T. Dalton, 25, and Damion E. Dalton, 20, were taken into custody after the Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team secured the home. Investigators found a tiny amount of methamphetamine, a stolen and dismantled carbine weapon with high-capacity magazines, and a defaced AR-15 rifle.

Among the other counts against Damion Dalton, who also had a warrant for criminal mischief, are:


  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree

    (assault weapon, high-capacity magazines, defaced firearms)


  • Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree
  • Pending charges in Pennsylvania for burglary and weapon theft.

Convicted felon Tyler Dalton was accused of:


  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree

    (assault weapon, high-capacity magazines, defaced firearms)

  • Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree

  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree

    for methamphetamine possession.

After being brought to the Jamestown City Jail, both suspects are still being detained until their arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Jamestown Fire Department, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, the Dunkirk Police Department, the Pennsylvania State Police, and Chautauqua County Tac Meds all provided support during the operation.

The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
