Starbucks announced on Monday that its baristas’ ability to view and manage their schedules has been affected by a ransomware attack on one of its software vendors.
Starbucks stated that it is collaborating closely with the provider to find a solution. The third party’s name was not revealed by the business.
The Starbucks employee platform, which lets the firm track how many hours workers have put in and displays their schedules to baristas, is impacted by the outage. Although the company stated that it is making sure that workers would be paid for all hours worked, store managers and baristas are now overcoming the outage manually.
Customers have not been directly impacted by the disruption, and Starbucks stated that it is still serving customers in its locations.
