SUGAR CREEK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL ANNOUNCED

Fort Mill, South Carolina With effect from January 2025, the Fort Mill School District is pleased to welcome Jennifer Hendershot as the Sugar Creek Elementary School Principal. Michelle Gritz, who will be in charge of the brand-new Flint Hill Elementary School when it opens in the autumn of 2025, is replaced by Ms. Hendershot.

Since 2020, Ms. Hendershot has been Fort Mill Elementary School’s assistant principal. Ms. Hendershot taught first, second, and third grade for four years at Fort Mill Elementary School and thirteen years in New Jersey before taking on her leadership position.

Ms. Hendershot has a master’s degree in educational leadership from Western Governors University, a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Stockton University, and a certification as an elementary teacher from Georgian Court University.

Ms. Hendershot expressed her immense gratitude for the chance to take on the role as Sugar Creek Elementary’s new principle. I have a rare opportunity to fully understand and accept the significant traditions already established at SCES during a midyear change in management. Supporting this amazing community of educators, staff, students, and families is something I am looking forward to. I’m thrilled to be a shark at Sugar Creek, which has a great reputation for having a supportive school community.
