(WNY News Now) – A Syracuse man is in stable condition after a violent stabbing on Halloween afternoon in a residential area near West Colvin Street, prompting an active investigation by local authorities.
Syracuse, N.Y. – On Thursday, October 31, at approximately 3:14 p.m., Syracuse Police responded to reports of a stabbing on the 400 block of West Colvin Street. Upon arrival, officers found a 48-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to his chest and cuts to his face and neck. The victim was quickly transported to Upstate University Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
Investigators later determined that the attack occurred on the 100 block of Fage Avenue, a nearby residential street. Although the motive and circumstances remain unclear, Syracuse Police are working to piece together the events that led to this violent encounter. The Criminal Investigations Division is actively following leads and urges anyone with relevant information to come forward.
