The Latin Grammys will turn 25 in Miami. Here’s who is up for a trophy.

Some of the biggest stars in Latin music will gather Thursday for the 25th anniversary of the Grammys in Miami — a hub of Latin American culture and the headquarters of the Latin Recording Academy.

Nominated artists include producer and songwriter Édgar Barrera — who for the second year in a row is leading in nominations — as well as Karol G and Bad Bunny, both returning after winning at the 2023 Latin Grammys in Seville, Spain.

Other nominees include Kali Uchis, Juan Luis Guerra, Feid, Kany García, Carin Leon and more.

In the recording of the year category, Camilo and Carín León share a nomination (“Una Vida Pasada”), as do Uchis and Peso Pluma (“Igual Que Un Ángel”), according to

There are some new additions to this year’s Latin Grammys, too: best Latin electronic music performance and best contemporary Mexican music album will be featured as categories for the first time ever.

This brings the show to 58 categories, and songs will only be considered if their lyrics are at least 60% written in Spanish, Portuguese or a native regional dialect.

“As we approach the 25th edition of the Latin GRAMMYs, our Awards Process is more robust than ever, with our membership evaluating over 23,000 entries this year,” Latin Recording Academy CEO Manuel Abud said.

“The Latin GRAMMYs have grown in an amazing way to become a fundamental platform for music and culture. We are proud to share this year’s nominees, an international and diverse group of creators representing the richness and vastness of today’s Latin music,” he said.

The gramophone-shaped trophy has a burgundy base (instead of black) to distinguish from its American counterpart.

The Latin Grammys will take place at Miami’s Kaseya Center at 8 p.m. ET and air live on Univision, Galavisión and ViX.
