When my friends found out about my cat’s $600 litter box, they made fun of me endlessly. Instead of giving you a detailed recap of the sneers (you can use your imagination), I’ll just say that this amazing equipment changed my relationship with my cat, Opie, without using exaggeration.
I accept that the price tag is ridiculous, but this litter box is truly amazing. Through a dedicated app on your phone, the Leo’s Loo Too smart litter box cleans itself and notifies you when it needs to be cleaned. Additionally, it can be connected to Google or Alexa voice control systems.

Why we like this automatic litter box and how it works
The exterior of the machine, which is 27.5 inches tall and 22 inches wide, looks like it belongs in a science fiction film. The total weight of the item is 37.4 pounds.
The litter box is white, but you can modify it by selecting a blue, green, gray, or pink drum. You place the clay clumping litter in this drum, which detects when your cat is inside or close by. It turns as soon as your cat is done, and any clumps fall through a hole in the top of the drum once it is upside down.
The machine’s bottom has a waste drawer lined with heavy-duty drawer liner bags that are specially sized to catch the clumps. The machine notifies or alerts you when the drawer is full, which took my cat seven to nine days. Then, without having to scoop or sift, you can just slip it out, pull the trash bag’s drawstrings, and throw it away—a blessing for cat owners. For almost three weeks, the litter itself remains fresh.
Strong sense of smell? Don’t worry, the machine has a three-step odor-reduction system that includes charcoal filters, heavy-duty waste bags, and an EPA-certified UV light that turns on each time waste is placed in the drawer (and all day long). If you want your phone to go off more frequently, you can even press a button.
Your cat is protected from the drum’s unintentional rotation by a radar device that recognizes when they are close by. The brand advises positioning the box at least one inch away from the wall because of this radar technology, however in our small flat in New York City, the box is jammed quite firmly between the wall and the guest bed. When Opie approaches or raises his paws to peer inside and observe the movement, I have seen the revolving drum come to a halt.

This litter box, which we had before switching to the Leo’s Loo, is significantly less expensive even if it isn’t fully enclosed. Even though it stinks much less, I still prefer crystal litter to clay clumping litter. This box’s only drawback is that clumps frequently become lodged in the rake. We used two of them, and after roughly six months of use, both of them broke or stopped working. Even so, despite a few minor issues, it completed the task.

Despite having a similar appearance to an outdated iMac, this litter box has received great reviews. It has an easy-to-empty drawer and is closed in, just like Leo’s Loo. It sanitizes with a spray rather than a UV light.

Since it’s the only one I’ve seen that looks good, this litter box receives points for presentation. Its vintage design is evocative of a 1970s record player. Additionally, it contains odor-absorbing gel beads, which I trust because I adore the crystal-style litter. In order to stop odors from forming, it also contains a deodorizing pod inside.
