Tragic Morning Collision Claims Life in Syracuse

(WNY News Now) – On Saturday, November 2, 2024, at approximately 6:57 a.m., Syracuse Police responded to a serious motor vehicle accident in the 100 block of Shotwell Park. Upon arrival, officers found an SUV that had collided with a tree and was fully engulfed in flames.

Tragically, the driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the driver has not yet been released pending notification of family members.

Members of the Syracuse Police Traffic Section have launched an investigation into the incident, focusing on the events leading up to the collision. As details are still emerging, police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
