Travel Ban Declared in Dunkirk Amid Dangerous Road Conditions

(WNY News Now) Dunkirk, NY Due to worsening road conditions brought on by heavy weather, the City of Dunkirk Police Department has imposed a travel ban with immediate effect. The prohibition, which was put into effect in cooperation with the Fire Department, Department of Public Works, and Mayor’s Office, is in effect until further notice.

Only vital employees who deliver vital services in public health, safety, and infrastructure are allowed to travel. Officials stress how crucial it is to restrict non-essential movement so that emergency personnel can efficiently handle the crisis.
