UNITED WAY OF YORK COUNTY RELEASES 2025-2026 FINANCIAL STABILITY PARTNER GRANTS REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

Rock Hill, South Carolina, November 19, 2024The goal of United Way of York County, SC is to create a prosperous community where everyone may prosper. Our bold goal is to assist York County households in achieving financial stability by 2030 in order to realize our vision.

We are aware that such an endeavor will necessitate cooperation, coordination, dedication, and financial investment in closer ties with our key partners. We are now allowing groups operating in this field to apply for our grants. We hope you will join us as a partner in this endeavor, as we fund partners who are working toward the same ultimate objective.

Funding bids for the award year starting July 1, 2025, will be accepted by United Way of York County starting on November 19, 2024.

United Way of York County (UWYC) is inviting you to participate in this funding opportunity as part of our Bold Goal to aid

By 2030, families in York County are financially secure. Collaboration, agreed performance measures, and program performance review are important elements of this endeavor. These are the three funding categories:

1. Financial Literacy
2. Workforce Development
3. Economic and Family Support

By December 19, 2024, new applicants must submit a Letter of Interest. Although they are not needed to submit a complete application, agencies funded during the 2024–2025 Funding Cycle should fill out an Intent to Recertify form by the deadline of December 19. Partners will receive more details about the recertification procedure directly.

The anticipated duration of this grant cycle is one year, ending on June 30, 2026. Grantee success and ongoing alignment with United Way of York County’s investment priorities are prerequisites for the initiative’s continuing funding.

Funding Objectives, Plans, and Actions

Each applicant must be able to explain how they match with the Bold Goal of UWYC. Only groups who have proven they can effectively address one or more financial stability needs in the areas of workforce development, economic and family support, or financial literacy will get funding support from UWYC.

UWYC plans to provide funding for initiatives that help working families become financially stable.

Every program’s target audience needs to contain at least one of the following:

Participants who are unemployed, underemployed, or not earning income at the ALICE Threshold* for their family size/composition
Single female head of households
Earn above the income eligibility for needed services

Timeline for Funding

Forms for intent to recertify and letters of intent must be submitted by Thursday, December 19 at 5:00 PM EST. Late contributions won’t be taken into account.

By Tuesday, January 21, 2025, invitations to complete eligibility and submit a complete application will be distributed.

Starting on February 3, 2025, the online application forms will be accessible.
