Washington On Wednesday evening, a military helicopter and a commercial aircraft collided in midair close to Reagan Washington National Airport.
The Army Black Hawk and an American Eagle airplane are both in the Potomac River. No survivors are anticipated; there were three persons in the chopper and sixty-four people on the airliner.
The event happened just before 9:00 p.m. ET. As information about the flight conditions becomes available, all passengers are thought to be dead.

In a statement released Wednesday evening, President Donald Trump claimed to have received a thorough briefing on the disaster. Thanking the first responders, he stated that he “will provide more details as they arise.”
On Thursday, the airport will remain closed until at least 11 a.m.
