(WNY News Now) A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Chautauqua County by the Buffalo-based National Weather Service (NWS), which will be in force until 7:00 AM EST on January 9, 2025. Significant accumulations are expected due to lake effect snow, especially in the county’s far western regions and higher terrain.

6 to 10 inches
are expected in the most persistent snow bands. -
