Las Vegas Chaos: MGM Hotels’ IT Meltdown! Cyberattack Takes Sin City by Storm!

Numerous major Las Vegas hotels, including the Bellagio, experienced issues such as malfunctioning door locks and non-functional slot machines on Monday, following a reported cyberattack, according to hotel authorities.

The FBI is currently investigating the cyberattack on MGM Resorts International hotels, which occurred early Monday morning. The company stated that it promptly took action to safeguard its systems and data, including the shutdown of certain systems.

MGM posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying, “Our investigation is ongoing, and we are diligently working to ascertain the nature and extent of the incident.” The company did not provide specific details about the affected areas, but it did seem to disrupt various critical hotel systems.

Later in the evening, MGM announced that its “casino gaming floors” were functioning normally and that they were actively resolving the issue, as stated in a company statement.

Guests at the Bellagio were unable to make room charges, reservations, or utilize digital room keys, as reported by ABC affiliate KTNV. Additionally, several slot machines at the Aria casino were reportedly out of service, according to KTNV.

The MGM international website was also inaccessible, preventing online bookings. Instead, the site directed customers to the hotel’s phone numbers for assistance.
